Isaac Alpizar-Chacon
I am an assistant professor at the Software Technology for Learning and Teaching group of the department of Information and Computing Sciences at Utrecht University (80%). I am also an associate professor at the Information Technology Administrator program at Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica(25%).
My research interests are computing education, Generative AI in education, computational thinking, the integration of artificial intelligence in educational settings, and extraction of knowledge. With a passion for teaching students of all backgrounds, I have experience working with both programming novices and experts alike.

We are looking for a PhD candidate on Computer Science Education with Generative AI!
The main research topic is the relationship between computational thinking skills and the use of GenAI for programming.
